30-Minute Discovery Call
Frequently Asked Questions About Your Discovery Call
What is a discovery call?
A discovery call is a 20–30 minute conversation on Zoom where we discuss your health history, current challenges, and goals. It’s designed to see if my Functional Medicine and Functional Neurology approach is the right fit for you.
How much does the call cost?
The discovery call is $47. This small fee covers the time we spend together reviewing your health and goals. If you move forward with care, the $47 can be applied toward your first visit or program.
How do I join the call?
Once you schedule, you’ll get a confirmation email with a Zoom link. At your appointment time, simply click the link to join from your computer, phone, or tablet.
Do I need to download anything for Zoom?
No. On a computer, Zoom opens in your browser. On a phone or tablet, you may be prompted to download the free Zoom app.
Will this be a video call or audio only?
The call is set up as a video call, but if you’d rather keep your camera off and use audio only, that’s fine.
What should I prepare before the call?
Bring your questions, along with a general idea of your health history and goals. If you have recent lab results, keep them handy in case they come up.
Do I need to have lab results for the discovery call?
No, labs are not required. If you do have recent labs, you can send them ahead of time and I’ll review them before your call. Email them to Dr[email protected] or fax them to 651-391-2086. If you don’t have labs, we’ll still have a productive conversation.
I’m not sure if you can help me. I’ve had this problem for years and no one has been able to help.
That’s exactly why we start with a discovery call. Many patients come to me after years of frustration and dead ends. During our call, I’ll listen to your story, review what you’ve already tried, and explain how a Functional Medicine and Functional Neurology approach may uncover things others have missed. Even if you’ve felt stuck for a long time, there is always a next step forward.
What happens after the call?
If we both feel it’s a good fit, I’ll outline the next steps—this may include specific assessments, lab work, and a customized care plan. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll still point you toward helpful next steps.
How long does the call last?
Discovery calls typically last 20–30 minutes.
Can I reschedule if something comes up?
Yes. Your confirmation email includes a link to reschedule or cancel your appointment if needed.
Who will I be speaking with?
You’ll be speaking directly with me, Dr. Hugh Wegwerth. I’ll personally guide you through the process and answer your questions.
